How should Dutruch Grand Poujeaux be served ?

We regularly note the beneficial effect of airing the young vintages. Opening the wine or, better still, decanting it opens the wine up, allowing it to show its complexity and personality. Airing the wine gives young wines the development which mature wines have had the time to acquire in bottle.

The time allowed for airing depends on the age and also the quality of the vintage...and the palate of the taster.

As a rule of thumb, we suggest what is always good for the wine: for a wine of less than 7 years we recommend airing of 2-3 hours before serving.
